“Amazing Experience “
I feel so lucky to have booked with Beach Boyz! They were FANTASTIC!!! They helped our family of 5 get up on the waves and actually surf. They were so helpful, thorough, and gave great instruction from the beginning to the end. Our 3 kids are all very tall and they each were able to get up and surf and have a great time! I can’t say enough about Kalani and Toby and our experience with them! We really won the lottery booking with them when we came to Hawaii! Awesome Experience!!! They even told us of a couple of other sites to see while on the North Shore and we went and saw them too. It was great! Thank you Beach Boyz!!
“Stellar Surfing Experience“
Kalani and Toby are incredible!
These two have been friends for eons and know so much about the ocean and riding waves. I felt secure while being totally at ease. They were right beside or behind us every step of the way and positive throughout. Very professional and very fun!
Absolutely recommend!
“Great Lesson!”
Had a great lesson with Toby and Kalani. I went with my two sons in their twenties and we all three had a great time and got some awesome waves. The instructions were clear and helpful. Toby and Kalani were professional and knowledgeable.
Beginner Surf Lessons
Our instructors want to make you feel as comfortable in the water and on your board as you feel when walking on your own two feet. There are several different things that we will go over during beginner surf lessons that will help teach you the foundation that every good surfer needs to know.
Technique is key when first learning to surf. Your technique should include several different things such as learning how to use your surfboard safely, how to paddle, surfing terms and how to properly position yourself on the center of the board. That isn’t the only thing that you need to know when it comes to learning how to surf. Learning how to catch a wave is just as important as learning how to position yourself on your board.
Before you learn how to catch a wave you need to know how to read a wave. Reading a wave has to do with the position that the wave is in as it’s starting to come towards you. Being able to see the wave and know where you need to paddle in order to catch it without wiping out isn’t as difficult as it sounds. Having the help of a professional surfing teacher to show you how to identify a wave will make all the difference when you are first getting out into the water.
